We accept applications at any time. There is a written and physical agility test each applicant must pass to be entered into the hiring pool.
Once a position becomes available, we will contact all recent applicants to let them know we are hiring and will be conducting a written and physical agility test. If the applicant passes both tests, they will be called back to interview. If selected, the applicant must pass a medical health screening, criminal background check, and a drug test.

Volunteering
The Milan Fire Department is a combination department made up of both career and volunteer firefighters. We are always looking for new members to join our department.
When you sign up to be a volunteer firefighter, you’ll receive training, equipment, community involvement, and a chance to save lives.
